Ioana Popa
Ioana is a co-founder of Bucharest Partners and has extensive experience in the financial advisory sector, gained in 17 years of activity.
She is specialized in complex corporate finance transactions, ranging from project finance structures, national and cross-border company acquisition debt to investment and working capital facilities. In addition, she participated in successfully completing sell-side and buy-side mandates of capital raising from private equity funds, as well as in mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Prior to Bucharest Partners, she worked in UK for a capital raising merchant boutique specialized on international hedge funds, Hyde Park Investments.
Ioana graduated the Faculty of Management from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and Master of Science in Finance at Hult University UK.
Mihai Mincu
Mihai has more than 20 years experience in financial advisory market for international and local companies.
Before co-founder of Bucharest Partners, Mihai was VP for business development of East European Activity Fund, a large PE fund specialized in mineral resources in CEE region. During 2000 and 2007 Mihai let the local office of EPIC– a Vienna based investment bank with offices in 16 CEE and SEE countries – were he originated and advised in landmark transactions like: investment in RCS-RDS, advised Tarmac in the acquisition of one of the largest players in the construction materials sector in Romania, etc.
Previously he was the Head of Equity Research department at US-based Eastbrokers International.
During 2007-2008, Mihai held a seat in the Board of Directors of a regional construction materials holding and member of the Supervisory body of the largest CATV and telecom operator in Romania, RCS-RDS.
Mihai graduated in Business Administration from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest in 1997.
